Tokyo:It was a mix day for Indian Shuttlers in Japan Open on Thursday.As Kidambi Srikanth entered quarterfinals and on the other hand PV Sindhu lost her match against Gao Fangjie of China,also H.S Pranoy beaten by Indonesian player Anthony Sinisuka Ginting commonly known by name Giant Killer.
Sindhu beaten by Gao Fangjie of China in the women's singles second round.Sindhu lost in straight sets by 18-21,19-21 in 55 minutes.Sindhu play decent as she took a lead of 17-14 in opening game but she lost the opening set by 18-21, In the second the Chinese took a lead of 15-20 but Sindhu managed to save four match points but finally lost the second set by 19-21.
Srikanth won the second round of men's singles by beating Winsent Wong Wing ki in two straight sets by 21-15,21-14 and enters the quarterfinals of men's singles.
In doubles,the men's pair of Mannu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy beaten by the chinese pair.And the mixed doubles pair of Pranaav Jerry Chopra and N Sikki Reddy beaten by the Malaysian pair in two straight sets 16-21 ,16-21.
